Angel of the Sea is done!

I started this design in early December 2002. I knew that I wanted to be a baby announcement for my sister and I thought I was being clever by starting it before she was even pregnant. However she found out in Jan. 03 that she was, and my nephew was born in Sept. 03. Then my neice was born in June 06 and I still wasn't done. Those of you who know me know that I never have just one project on the go at any one time, that would be boring! At least I can get it framed for her in Oct. when my local really good framing store has a 25% offf sale. That will be just after my nephew starts kindergarten. Oh well!
For those of you that like stats, she is stitched on 32 count Wedgewood lugana, which is very close to colour of DMC 3747, so I used that to bead with. I don't time my stitching really accurately with a stop-watch or anything, but my working time on her was approximately 247 hours. I could be off by as much as 5 hours either way.

Comments:
She's beautiful! Congratulations on your finish. Are you glad or sad to see her done?

I am glad to be done, but I often miss a project for a while.

Oh my gosh, Kelley, she so gorgeous!! Wow!! I have this design in my stash and can't wait to stitch it someday. Congrats on a fabulous finish!

She's beautiful. Kristi will love having her on her walls when she's framed and completed.

Your talents are endless girl. I love seeing them as they go through their stages!

she is so gorgeous! i want to stitch this one so badly! I have maybe 2 hours worth of stitches on it when i started it about three years ago :-)

Beautiful!!! I started this one 4 years ago, now I decided to continue. I've stitched 85% of it hopefully I will be able to finish it without stopping again.
