Same 3 guys, same 3 chords.
That is what Billy Gibbons claimed last night that ZZ Top has been doing for 35 years. They still got it. It was a great show. We also got to see the Stray Cats and Pretenders first. Equally good, especially the Cats. T and I saw ZZ Top in '91 or '92, whenver the Recycler Tour was. We were all up dancing and singing away. The sound could have been a little better though. General Motors Place has excellent acoustics for what is basically a fancy hockey arena. T and I have been to many concerts there and usually the sound is totally clear. Bryan Adams springs to mind for one.
The entire show went from 7:30 to 11:30, with brief breaks between bands so the roadies could do their thing. We went with a bunch of people from the office, and a good time was had by all. Can't go wrong with that!
