Musings on winter
First of all it's rather odd to actually be able to muse on winter. I mean normally around these parts the musing consists of whether to take an umbrella with you or not. For the last week we have actually had snow! Monday and Tuesday were snow days for the school district. Dandy, since I didn't really want to schlep over to the school in that mess. So I have for you a few good things, a few not-so-good things and few musings.
-Snow days are good for family re-connect time. T did go work on Tuesday though, stupid man! Monday was spent shovelling, playing, taking pictures, story time, Weezie and working on our scrapbooks and Kaiser doing major Lego building.
-Due to yucky roads etc. we had to cancel the school dance for tomorrow night. None of us wanted to piss off the night janitor with slush all over the gym floor. We also didn't want to waste time decorating and having T set up the music if no one was going to come. We are a lazy PAC at heart.
-I don't mind trudging through snow when it is light and fluffy. I had a good march from the school to the hair salon this morning. The air was crisp and the sun was partly shining. I felt like was 5 again.
-It would appear that -4 Celsius is the optimum temperature for keeping beer really cold outside on the deck. T and I refer to it as "the big fridge". However when he discovered that the wine was getting thick we decided to bring everything inside.
Now back to our regularly scheduled winter...

Brrrr! We've had nothing but damp & rain here in the UK for the last month or so. I'd much prefer our winters to be cold & crisp. Did you have enough snow to go sledging?
