100 years ago today..

.. at shortly after 5 am, a huge earthquake struck San Fransico. The thriving city was nearly wiped off the map, but the citizens were made of sterner stuff and they carried on magnificently.

Ya gotta love the San Andreas Fault...( and umpteen other ones in the vacinity )

I love San Francisco. I have only been there once but I thought it was beautiful. Not sure I would ever live there though, the threat of another big quake would have me a wreck.

Evey you get used to it. Vancouver's number will come up sometime I'm sure.
