Weaver Creek field trip
The Grade One classes from Kyra's school have been studying salmon and we went to Weaver Creek Salmon Spawning Channel today. I hope this link works.

This shows pretty much what we saw today. We also went to the Chehalis River Salmonid Hatchery just down the road from Weaver Creek. The creek feeds the river. At the hatchery are the holding tanks for eggs and fry. There was also a big pond for keeping Chum salmon in. I guess to hold them for egg recovery or something.
